Dr. E-N-T

ImageWhile I was a youngster becoming an adult in Denver, I did previously receive a great deal of ear infections. It was so irritating because it frequently felt like my ears were filled with water and so I frequently had trouble hearing, or couldn’t help but feel like I had a cold or both equally. My mother and father took me to the physician it seemed every other calendar month. Finally as I became more mature it calmed down and today I seldom receive an ear infection. One day I had been bored and chose to inform myself as to what causes ear infections. Ear infections focus on the center ear, the area of the ear right behind the eardrum that enables air to move. An ear infection develops when germs or bacteria enter the middle ear, causing the body to try to get rid of it. The body performs this by filling the middle ear by using germ reducing liquid that causes the full ear feeling and often causes it to be difficult to hear. It is possible to prevent ear infections by limiting your contact with tobacco smoke along with the common cold. Staying away from people who have colds along with cleaning your hands on regularly to eliminate any bacteria you may come into contact with can avoid the prospect of ear infections.  This website has more information about how to handle ear infection issues.

In Colorado, weather often was very cold in the winter and comfortable to very hot in the summertime. We didn’t have that many days where the weather swung from one extreme to another. This meant that in the winter it was probably going to be abnormally cold, and that I often experienced a high chance of catching a common cold. Unfortunately to me catching the common cold forced me to be weaker to having ear infections. Go figure. When I might get my ear infections, I decided to travel to go to a special doctor referred to as an ear, nose, and throat doctor or ENT. In Denver, ENT physicians are plentiful and so I hardly ever had to wait around very long to obtain an appointment. During my visits to the ENT, the doctor might take a particular flashlight and search into my ear to see if my eardrum looked ordinary. There seemed to be one occasion the physician actually blew a small amount of air inside my ear. That was unusual but I discovered that it is a way to find out if my eardrum is reacting routinely.

Since most of the times which I went to my ENT I usually did have an ear infection, the physician would then decide to prescribe me prescription medication to clear it up. Usually that treatment had been an antibiotic as most of my ear infections ended up bacteria related. Even though there were clearly lots of ear, nose, and throat experts within my area, it didn’t signify all of them ended up being good in Denver. ENT doctors need to go through substantial training, just in case they concentrate on serving a specific type of patient, say children, make sure they have experience working with kids. Likewise, it also helps if the ENT involved also understands how to handle other potential patient problems such as sore throats, enlarged tonsils, and sinusitis.
