New Wheels

ImageMy brother and I have started a side small business in which we purchase previously owned automobiles, rehab them all and afterwards resell all of them, preferably with a profit. I told my brother I’d be pleased if we both at the least break even at the start. One of these cars we got was a mid-size minivan. It needed a lot of love. The previous owner truly didn’t take better care of it; however it still ran pretty well. We will have to totally refurbish the interior and ended up replacing every little thing – the carpet, seats, headliner, mirrors, door panels, as well as the dashboard! It took us several weeks to finish the restoration on the minivan. Once we were finished it looked basically brand new inside of it. We were happy with our work and were ready to do the final aspect of the restore.

Our very own father works as an auto technician so he could check under the hood just before we started the inside. He informed us the motor was great and most of the other mechanical parts were excellent. We did need to switch the timing belt, battery, and front brakes, so we went ahead and picked up all those products and dad set them for us. We did an additional check on the mechanical components of the automobile once more simply to be sure that they were in working order. Everything was great and so we then focused our attention on exchanging the minivan’s wheels, tires and rims. Dad said that we couldn’t go cheap with the tires and should find some that are very high quality. They would have to be equipped to handle well under different climate conditions. So we took a trip to the local tire shop belonging to our dad’s buddies.  Discount Tire offers some good deals on tires.

After loading the minivan up on our tow truck, we made it to the car tire store. Our dad’s friend greeted us so we caught up with small talk for a couple of minutes. We told him we had been trying to find some good tires for the minivan. He got a glance at it when we unloaded the minivan out of the tow truck. He gave us a number of options and encouraged we utilize Arizonian tires for the minivan. He explained that they were very reasonably priced, good tires. We inquired if they were steady and also had good traction in almost any weather conditions. He explained they were but that we might have to balance them a little bit following initial install. After that the ride would be relatively smooth with them. Then we began speaking about wheel and rim possibilities. Again to help keep the purchase price affordable, we opted for simple wheels and rims. Our thinking was that the potential purchaser for the minivan is going to be someone with a big family. Just after approximately one hour the minivan was geared up with the tires, wheels and rims placed. We thanked our dad’s friend and driven the minivan to our car dealership and set it up on the market.

Several days later a husband and wife came to our car lot searching for a used minivan in good condition. We knew which one to show them. They took it for a test drive and fell in love with it. They figured it had just the right amount of room for them plus their kids. They were also satisfied with how well the Arizonian tires maintained at high rates of speed on the streets. After finishing forms for the purchase and registration, they happily went off inside their minivan and my brother and me were thrilled we helped them out.
